As time goes by... I can not see myself without my most personal and private gadget in the world... My phone... right now I use an amazing Galaxy S I9000 that runs Froyo 2.2 and this is a detail tutorial from my personal experience of how to Update Eclair version to Darky ROM 9.3
First I thanks Sebastian Mendez who convinced me of flashing my device, he did it by showing me how he could beat up my phone in performance by comparing results with the "Quadrant" app. He has the same device but running Froyo and that is how I understood that there is a hidden power in Android phones.
The results of Quadrant were: Running Eclair I got 800 points and now with Darky ROM (Froyo) I got 1500 points!
Okay time for the tutorial...
- Root Android phone by downloading an APP in the following link (there is a tutorial on video)

- Enable USB debugging on android phone
- Settings >> Application >> Development >> USB debugging
- Open application SuperOneClick
- Connect Android via USB to laptop (Requirements I think you need to have KIRES (Samguns app) installed)
- Clic on ROOT and wait for code execution
- The superuser application must appear on the application window if not... try rebooting
- Download the application TITANIUM and backup all the apps + data of your phone
- This app requires the step One to be done... in other words to have Superuser power
- Select BATCH mode and then RUN a backup for all the applications
- Flash Android
- Follow step by step de following link or/and read the steps bellow for Flashing the device

- Before flashing the device, check carefully that the combo (DOWN VOLUME + HOME KEY + POWER BUTTON) opens a Download window (To close that window the battery must be removed)
- If step 03 works then continue downloading Darky Rom version 9.2 for Galaxy S
- Press (Up volume + Key home + Power button) and then Select the 'wipe data/factory reset' option
- Now, turn off your phone by removing the battery and enter the Download mode by pressing the Vol DOWN+Home Key+the Power Button together. (Will bring up a screen saying 'Downloading'.)
- Open the ODIN application and connect the Android also check that ODIN recognize the device by highlighting only the first block at the top of the screen
- Check REPARTITION box and add the paths to PIT and PAT files (This files are on Darky ROM 9.2 zip)
- Click on start and wait for the device to be flashed, this will installed only the System base
- Add Darky ROM common apps to complement the installation
- Reboot the device
- Open Market Application and download DARKY ROM CONFIGURATOR
- Open app and select all the apps and features you want in your device and then press the BACK button and save the changes then exit
- Copy the file Resurection.zip that you download in the 2nd step and copy to INTERNAL SD CARD in a folder name ROM
- Press the following keys (UP VOLUMEN + HOME KEY + POWER BUTTON) and wait for the menu to appeared
- Select "install zip from sdcard"
- After the process finishes, go back and reboot the device
- Now all the applications must be installed
- To update Darky Rom to 9.3 version...
- Copy Darky ROM ZIP file to INTERNAL SD CARD in the folder named ROM
- Press (UP volume + Home Key + Power Button)
- Select the option "Install zip from SDCARD"
- Select the Zip file of Darky Rom 9.3
- Reboot the system
- Restore all the applications backup by downloading Titanium app from the market and then in BATCH mode restore all apps
Time to use it!!! It took me almost all afternoon in doing all the steps but it includes the time for restoring 100 apps and checking that everything work Okay. So in few words... Just read the whole guide and don't miss a step in the end I truly like how Froyo works and fully recommend anyone to try this Update.
